Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturer based in Stapleford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that values reliability, teamwork, and quality.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
- Two paid 10-minute breaks (morning and afternoon)
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling products using hand tools and small components
- Following assembly instructions, drawings and specifications
- Ensuring products are built to a high standard of quality
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Working efficiently to meet production targets
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Recording working hours, breaks and finish times accurately
- Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the correct PPE at all times
Skills Required
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
- Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining quality
- Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
Experience
Previous experience within any of the following would be advantageous:
- Manufacturing or production
- Assembly work
- Warehouse or factory environments
- Using hand tools or light machinery
- Quality control or inspection processes

Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are desirable.
