Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local Housing Association, are looking for an experienced Application Specialist to join their team and play a crucial role in their business applications operations.
Position: Application Specialist
Salary: £44,399.10 per annum
Contract Duration: 12-Month FTC
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Purpose:
- To provide support and maintenance of business applications including core housing applications, mobile solutions, digital applications and online services to ensure they are managed and maintained to the required high standards of performance and availability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the business applications including core housing applications, mobile solutions, digital applications and online services to ensure high levels of availability, user satisfaction and efficient operation of the company’s IT business applications.
- Provide 2nd line incident resolution, problem solving and problem management for business applications.
- Manage the patching and lifecycle maintenance of business applications, arranging deployment, testing and transition of application releases.
- Undertake the fulfilment of service requests in relation to the business applications, provisioning new fields, workflows and so on in accordance with agreed designs and solutions.
- Contribute to maintaining the security, confidentiality and integrity of information systems through compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Operate the controls and management strategies that provide this.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in complex IT services with several hundred users and multiple business critical applications.
- Experience of providing proactive monitoring, support and maintenance of business applications.
- Good working knowledge of the IT operating infrastructure with familiarity with general IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc.)
