Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable industrial Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and finishing on various projects to a high standard. The position involves working on commercial waste containers , ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Apply paint, or other finishes using, spray equipment, brushes, rollers
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out painting tasks
- Mix paints and colours to achieve desired shades and consistency
- Protect surrounding areas with masking tape, drop cloths, or coverings during painting processes
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for large-scale projects
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality standards are met and touch up as necessary
- may be required to Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in spray painting roles is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for operating various tools and equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks over extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Relevant health and safety awareness related to painting activities
This role is ideal for motivated individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship and are committed to delivering outstanding results.. We work a four day week Monday to Wednesday 7.00 to 17.30 and Thursday 7.00 to 16.30 with potential overtime on Friday and in the week paid at £21.00 - 40h to 48h and 49h + paid at £28.00 ( this means on a Friday you can achieve double time). we run two bonus schemes, 50p per hour attendance bonus for every hour worked if a 39 hour working week has been achieved that week. production bonus, both paid monthly
