Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior CAD Technician for our EWI (external wall insulation) design team to join our team in creating innovative architectural designs. The ideal candidate will assist in various stages of architectural projects and collaborate with senior architects to deliver high-quality designs.
Duties
- Utilise software such as Revit, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, and Sketchup to create detailed architectural drawings
- Develop and design technical architectural plans with a focus on internal and external wall insulation.
- Ensure designs comply with building regulations and best insulation practices.
- Work on residential projects, ensuring proper insulation techniques are applied.
- Collaborate with the team on project planning and execution
- Conduct site visits and surveys to support project development
Experience
- Knowledge of Joinery techniques and principles
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for design presentations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Requirement:
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from a recognised institution.
- Experience: Proven experience in architectural design and project management is preferred
- Certificates: Any certificates or licenses if applicable
Skills:
- Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Demonstrate and inquisitive approach to design and willingness to communicate with others to help develop their knowledge.
