What is this role?
Level Developments are currently seeking a motivated Vial Production Technician to join their highly successful team based in Croydon, Greater London. We are looking for a technician with a keen interest in understanding how parts are made and wanting to develop in an engineering company as part of our Vial Manufacturing department.
You will undertake the full range of manufacturing operations necessary in the production of precision, ground, bent and sensor vials, ensuring the highest possible quality standard, and on time delivery to our customers. You will perform a wide range of manual, semi-automated operations including but not limited to:
- Reading and understanding written works instructions, drawings and other manufacturing documentation
- Bending and cutting glass
- Washing glass vials
- Manufacture of spirit level vials, bent and ball vials (pipping, blasting, closing)
- Filling and sealing of vials
- Dot & transfers on to glass surface
- Mixing chemical liquids for the filling of products
- Operate and change the product on the Automated Vial Making Machine (AVMM)
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to maintain efficiency of AVMM
- Prepare production equipment for operation by making equipment setup adjustments
- Set-up production printing equipment & carry out printing
- Operate production equipment to produce the products
- Maintain production quality by strictly following policies and procedures
- Take part and contribute to regular team meetings and make suggestions for improvements
- To have a good understanding of all departments and be flexible and willing to rotate as necessary
Full in-house training will be provided

Essential Attributes
- Previous experience in a manufacturing role
- Good level of written and verbal English
- Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Basic computer skills to ensure that all documentation and databases are completed correctly
- High level of manual dexterity and hand eye coordination
- Able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
- Organised, able to prioritise and manage a busy workload and work to a high output level
- Problem solving skills
- Proactive and self-starting
- A flexible, can-do approach
- Able to communicate and work with individuals at all levels
Compensation & Benefits
- Permanent role, Monday to Friday (Full-time – 39 hrs per week)
