Housekeeping Assistant - Role Overview
The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for supporting the cleanliness,presentation and housekeeping standards across the Hothorpe Estate,including bedrooms,lodges,event spaces,restaurants,bars,public areas and back-of-house spaces at Hothorpe Hall and The Woodlands.
This is a hands-on role,working as part of the housekeeping team to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard. You will take pride in your work,support your colleagues,and help deliver a consistently clean,welcoming and “event-ready” environment for every guest.
Key Responsibilities

Clean and service bedrooms,bathrooms,lodges and public areas to a high standard

Prepare rooms for arrivals,stay-overs and departures

Support event space setup and turnaround

Follow cleaning schedules,checklists and SOPs

Work closely with the housekeeping team and other departments

Report maintenance issues,damages or guest requests promptly

Handle linen,restock supplies and use products responsibly

Follow all health & safety procedures,including COSHH

Support environmentally responsible practices
Requirements
-
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (not essential)

Good attention to detail and a positive,team-focused attitude
-
Ability to work flexibly,including weekends and busy periods
Working Pattern
-
Full-time or part-time hours available

Shift pattern will include weekends and bank holidays as required
