Driver / House Clearance Operative

We are a Birmingham-based company specialising in house clearances and light removals throughout the UK.
Due to continued demand, we are looking for a reliable, professional and hardworking Driver / House Clearance Operative to join our team.
This is a hands-on role and involves much more than simply driving a van. You will be representing our company when dealing directly with customers, assisting with house clearance and removal work, carrying out surveys and quotes, and helping with the day-to-day logistics of our nationwide jobs.
The Role
Your duties will include:
Driving company vans throughout the UK, including regular motorway driving
Travelling from our Birmingham/West Midlands base to jobs nationwide
Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner
Liaising with customers throughout the clearance or removal process
Assisting with property surveys and providing quotes
Carrying out house clearances and light removal work
Safely removing furniture, household contents and other items from properties
Loading and unloading company vehicles
Unloading items for responsible disposal at recycling centres
Assisting with logistics and the organisation of jobs
Working closely with other members of the team
Taking care of company vehicles, equipment and customers’ property
About You
As you will be dealing directly with our customers and representing the company, we are looking for someone who is:

Comfortable working as part of a team
Able to use initiative when required
Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting
Flexible regarding working hours
Some jobs involve early starts and long days, particularly when travelling to different parts of the country, so flexibility is essential.
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Confident and competent van driver
Comfortable with long-distance and motorway driving
Physically capable of heavy lifting
Good communication and customer-service skills
Reliable and punctual
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Applicants would ideally live in Birmingham or elsewhere within the West Midlands due to the location of our base and early starts.

Pay: £125.00-£150.00 per day
