HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER
HGV Driving Class 1 - from £25 per hour , Weekends availability .
Location: Crick / Rugby
Pay Rates :
- Night Shift - £25.00 per hour
Required
- Valid Driving Licence , Valid DQC, Valid CPC
- Minimum 2 year Of Class 1
- PPE (Yellow long sleeve hi-vis ,Gloves ,Boots ,Glasses-if required while driving )
- Maximum 5 infringements in last 6 months
- Trunking and trailer swaps , Depot to Depot , minimum handball involved
- Flexibility , All-week availability, including weekends .
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely deliveries.
Duties
- Operate a lorry for the safe transportation of goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Ensure that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record ( no more than 6 points and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements )
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service is essential.
