Support Worker (Young Adults – Learning Disabilities)
Location: Llandovery
Salary: £27,040–£30,010 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (various shifts), permanent, including sleep in

Our client supports young adults with complex additional learning needs and disabilities to build independence, develop skills, and self-advocate. You’ll help create a warm, “family-feel” home where residents, staff and volunteers share day-to-day life together—no two days the same, and your impact is tangible.
What you’ll do (day to day)
- Support residents with practical household routines (meals, tidying, planning, shared activities)
- Encourage independence through consistent, person-centred support and positive role modelling
- Help residents build life skills and confidence within a busy, sociable home environment
- Work closely with the House Manager and wider team to maintain a safe, inclusive setting
- Contribute to a calm, patient approach—especially when situations are noisy, challenging, or unpredictable
Requirements
Essential
- Kind, practical and reliable with a patient, consistent approach
- Comfortable working flexible shifts across a 7-day rota
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Commitment to delivering person-centred care and support
Desirable
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs
- Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3/5)
- Full UK driving licence
