Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and skilled All-round Builder/Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades, including carpentry, joinery, and general building tasks. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial builds, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking fabrication, assembly, and installation work, contributing to the successful completion of building projects in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as walls, roofs, doors, windows, and cabinetry
- Perform carpentry and joinery tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Carry out roofing work including fixing tiles, slates or other roofing materials
- Assist with plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and construction painting as required
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely across sites
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to specifications
Experience
- Proven experience in general construction or building trades with a focus on carpentry or joinery
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks
- Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials
- Experience in plumbing, masonry or electrical work is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for specific trades
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations within the construction industry
- Previous experience working on residential or commercial sites essential
- Clean driving license and own tools essential
