Overview
We are seeking SIA Licensed professional Corporate Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidates will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention measures. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where vigilance and proactive security practices are essential. Candidates should possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Prior experience with CCTV systems and first aid certification is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and intervening in potential theft or vandalism incidents.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing appropriate action or escalation as necessary.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities and any security concerns.
- Assist visitors and staff with enquiries while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
- Ensure all security procedures comply with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, following established protocols.
Requirements
- SIA License
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring techniques is essential.
- Valid first aid certification is highly desirable; ongoing training will be provided if necessary.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical fitness to conduct patrols and stand for extended periods.
- A clean criminal record with the ability to pass background checks as part of the employment process.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
