Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Oversee financial accounting activities, including journal entries, ledger management, and month-end closing procedures.
- Support financial management efforts by generating detailed reports to aid strategic decision-making.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to develop their skills and ensure best practices are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and improve overall efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong background in financial services or related industries with a focus on financial management.
- Demonstrated ability to handle accounts payable processes and perform detailed financial accounting tasks.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements, reconciliation procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience within an accounting team is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with tools used for financial reporting and analysis to support organizational growth.
