Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at our care home based in Redcar. Hours TBC. This role is vital in maintaining the safety, functionality, and comfort of our care environments, aligning with our mission to provide high-quality care.
In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for residents. Ideal candidates should possess good communication skills and experience in D.I.Y and ideally have experience or background of working in a care home.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff and coordinate repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and residents by promptly addressing maintenance issues.
- Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Prior experience in maintenance within healthcare or similar environments is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
