Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes
- Manage food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards of taste and presentation
- Support the team during busy service periods by preparing food as needed and maintaining a positive work environment
- Uphold hospitality standards by ensuring excellent service delivery during all stages of food preparation and serving
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive food production and culinary expertise, with a strong understanding of cooking techniques
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, presentation, and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in restaurant kitchens
- Experience working within hospitality or restaurant sectors, with an emphasis on serving customers effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure

Pay: £24,678.38-£30,000.00 per year
