Job Description for Maintenance Team Member
Main Purpose of Job
- Reporting to Project Manager , to provide a professional and efficient maintenance service to the residents. To undertake a range of maintenance tasks around the site.
- To give a good impression to residents of site and be presentable. (You will be provided with all safety clothing and footwear.)
- To work as part of a team and liaise with contractors, as and when necessary, as well as with the residents regarding the maintenance of the buildings, painting, repair works etc. To make sure that the area is left in a good state after working with contractors and to ensure that work is done in a safe and professional manner, maintaining the overall environment.
- To undertake work in and around site, including the grounds and parts of buildings, when the residents report issues. To fix problems or to report issues, when further help or work is needed. To be proactive in checking for issues and problems and reporting them to the Project Manager.
- To understand all safe working requirements and follow any safe working methods and general Health & Safety requirements
- To work closely with other team members to carry out regular maintenance tasks and supporting contractors and residents
- To prepare each week for the Council refuse collection service arrival and to ensure site is clean thereafter.
- To use tools and equipment safely. (Training is provided). To maintain equipment such as tools, machinery, etc.
- To identify and report any leaks and other water related issues.
- To undertake daily site checks and to check weekly all common areas for any obvious problems.
- To undertake routine tasks including litter removal, leaf sweeping, seasonal cleansing etc. and to generally keep the site tidy.
- To undertake any additional task as notified by the Project Manager or HR Manager.
Line Manager
The Project Manager is the line manager. However, instructions may be given by the HR Manager or a relevant RTM Director.
