Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Van Driver/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a van to transport goods between locations and utilizing a forklift to handle materials within our warehouse. Your energetic approach will ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of products, supporting seamless warehouse operations. Duties
- Safely operate a van for scheduled deliveries and pickups, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Use forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas with precision and care
- Manage inventory movements within the warehouse using a warehouse management system (WMS) to track materials accurately
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other tools to ensure optimal performance
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, securing loads, and preventing damage during transit or storage
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, completing documentation, and maintaining accurate records
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and efficient storage practices
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment, with valid certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for van operation
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) to manage inventory accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments and inventory data
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
