We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. Octopus Installations Ltd are an expanding company located in Calverley, Leeds. We offer a diverse range of exciting projects in domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, including upgrades and installation work, testing and diagnostics, maintenance, planned and reactive work.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, the ability to work with both hand and power tools, and a commitment to safety standards. The Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality. Whether you have a wealth of experience or are keen to expand your knowledge, we provide ongoing training to help you develop and grow in your role.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Pay: £35-£42k
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times.

What we are looking for
- Fully qualified 18th Edition IEE regulations
- 2383-18 18th Edition Update
- 2391-52 Test and Inspection desirable, not essential – full training will be given
- Knowledge of EV charging units – desirable, not essential – full training can be given
- IPAF – Desirable and full training will be given
- PASMA – Desirable and full training can be given
- Ability to effectively prioritise own workload
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
- Strong customer care focus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to problem solve with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Adapt to technical changes within the industry and attend training courses should they be required.
- Proficient in using electrical hand tools and power tools.
- To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time
- To understand and comply with policies and procedures
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- To be responsible for company vehicle and all materials on board
- Undertake additional duties as instructed by the Project Manager
