We are seeking a skilled Bank Cook to join our care home team. You will prepare nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of our residents, with a strong focus on the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare IDDSI Meals: Cook and texture-modify foods safely from Level 3 (Liquidised) to Level 7 (Regular).
- Manage Allergens: Maintain strict cross-contamination controls for specialized diets.
- Ensure Food Safety: Uphold exceptional kitchen hygiene and documentation standards.
- Deliver Quality: Present texture-modified meals attractively to encourage resident appetite.
Requirements
- IDDSI Training: Proven experience or certification in preparing IDDSI-compliant meals.
- Catering Qualification: NVQ Level 2 in Food Production or equivalent experience.
- Food Hygiene: Valid Level 2 Food Safety certificate.
- Care Experience: Previous experience cooking in a care home or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
