Market Research Assistant
Location: Billingham, County Durham (Office-Based Only)
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent (subject to a 6-month probationary period)

About the Role
As a Market Research Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality market research projects for a range of clients. Working as part of our Market Research Team, you will contribute to all stages of the projects, including:
· Supporting the management and delivery of telephone, online, and face-to-face surveys
· Preparing questionnaires and survey materials
- Managing survey interviews and monitoring progress
- Processing, checking and validating market research data
- Producing tables, charts and standard reports
- Supporting the delivery of multiple client projects
· Liaising with interviewers and project managers
· Maintaining project documentation and databases
- Ensuring projects are completed accurately and efficiently
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical, and eager to learn.
This role would suit someone with strong organisational and IT skills who enjoys working with data. A degree is not essential, and full training will be provided. Previous experience in administration, project coordination, data processing or office-based analytical roles would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Good IT skills, including experience using word processing and spreadsheet software (preferably Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good numerical and analytical abilities
- A good level of literacy, with the ability to contribute to questionnaire design and report writing
While previous market research experience is beneficial, it is not essential. We value enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to develop new skills.
