We are currently recruiting for a confident, patient and enthusiastic Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in High Wycombe for a September start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) while making a positive impact on their learning, development and wellbeing. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable.
As an Unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.

Support pupils with their learning, development and classroom activities.

Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to support individual learning needs.

Assist pupils with communication, social and emotional development.
-
Support children who may have additional learning, behavioural or communication needs.

Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive behaviour.

Adapt activities and provide appropriate support to help pupils access the curriculum.

Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

Promote the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all pupils.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm).

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.

Previous experience working with children, young people, SEND or in a care/support setting is desirable but not essential.

A patient, caring and understanding approach.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

The confidence to support children with a range of additional needs.

A willingness to learn and develop your skills within an educational setting.

The ability to commute to or work within the High Wycombe area.
