RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Providing a high level of customer service at all times in a polite and professional manner and ensuring the health and safety of customers and staff alike. Maintaining a high level of personal appearance in line with our House Standards. Working within an effective team and assisting in other areas where instructed by a senior member of staff. Be flexible to cover staff shortages and to communicate clearly to ensure the smooth running of the Hotel.
The preparation of food and cleaning of all areas of the kitchen.
MAIN DUTIES:
· Assist the Chefs in maintaining food safety policies and procedures.
· Keeping all areas clean and tidy.
· Preparing ingredients that are required day to day.
· To be consistent in the preparation and cooking of dishes.
· Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum.
· Putting deliveries away ensuring stock rotation.
· To communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure stock levels are maintained.
· To ensure that all work is performed in line with Hotel standards, policies and procedures.
· To support colleagues at peak times and to undertake any operational duty which might be reasonably required, to ensure customer expectations are met.
This position would suit someone wishing to progress within the industry in a busy environment working as part of a close team.
