Warehouse Manager
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We are looking for an organised, motivated, and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to lead a small team, maintain efficient warehouse processes, and ensure the smooth flow of goods to our customers both in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Manage the daily running of the warehouse, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Supervise, motivate, and support the warehouse team, allocating workloads and monitoring performance.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes and efficiencies.
Shipping & Logistics
- Oversee domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and shipping regulations.
- Calculate freight costs and liaise with carriers to secure cost-effective transport solutions.
- Coordinate collections and deliveries to meet customer deadlines.
Goods In & Inventory Management
- Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming goods, ensuring products meet quality standards and are accurately booked into stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and cycle checks.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, implementing preventative measures where required.
Order Fulfilment & Dispatch
- Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Oversee palletisation and packaging to ensure goods are transported safely.
- Produce dispatch documentation, including delivery notes and customs paperwork where required.
- Manage returns, investigate issues, and ensure stock records are updated accordingly.
About You
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Experience arranging domestic and international shipments.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Confident using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service.
Physical Requirements
While the majority of products are lightweight, there will occasionally be a requirement to lift and move items weighing up to 25kg.
