Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Injection Moulding Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist in the operating, setting up, and maintaining of the injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise in fabrication, tooling, and materials handling will ensure efficient production processes while adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions in a dynamic environment.
This role also requires some knowledge of operating on production lines as there will be a need for support on the assembly lines as and when needed.
Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate Injection moulding machines
- Set up and carry out tool changes as per production requirement
- Troubleshooting of problems arising from difficult and/or complex moulded components.
- Pad changes of existing tooling to align with production schedule.
- Prepare material mix as and when required for production.
- Support setter during machine/tool setup
- Cover Setter position in case of holiday or absence
- Basic repair of injection moulding machines.
- Operate tool change handling equipment

Experience
- Strong and detailed technical knowledge of injection moulding and polymers.
- Direct and proven capability of high tolerance of metal fabrication.
- Proven capability of Injection moulding tool changes and set up.
- Technical and Quality issues problem solving.
- Working knowledge of Negri Bossi, BOY, Battenfeld and Engel injection moulding presses.
- Open minded, pragmatic and flexible approach to responsibilities.
- Ability to co-ordinate activities in adherence of all health and safety controls and procedures.
- Computer literate to be able to document actions made relating to tooling.
