We’re looking for a Part-Time Dental Nurse with Reception Responsibilities to join our welcoming and supportive team at Whiteley Dental Practice. Clinically, we provide high-quality general dentistry alongside referrals in Implants, Orthodontics, Hygiene and Cosmetic dentistry. Our modern, fully digital practice is equipped with spacious surgeries and excellent facilities, including: Dentally practice management system, iTero scanning technology. Intraoral cameras, AI-assisted clinical notes & Pearl AI diagnostics.
This is a part-time role of approximately 24 hours per week:
Monday: 08:00 – 17:00 (45-minute lunch)
Tuesday: 08:00 – 17:00 (45-minute lunch)
Friday: 07:30 – 16:00 (45-minute lunch)
The role offers a great balance of clinical nursing and patient-facing responsibilities:
- Monday & Tuesday: Primarily reception-focused, supporting patient communication, appointment coordination, and the smooth running of the practice.
- Friday: Nursing support with our Hygiene team, providing excellent chairside care and helping deliver outstanding patient experiences.
As a Part-Time Dental Nurse with Reception Responsibilities, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for every patient, supporting both the clinical team and the day-to-day running of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing chairside assistance during Hygiene appointments
- Supporting patients throughout their visit and helping them feel comfortable and cared for
- Maintaining excellent standards of infection control and decontamination
- Supporting smooth clinical flow across the practice
- Welcoming patients and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact
- Managing appointments and supporting diary coordination
- Responding to patient enquiries with care and professionalism
- Supporting front-of-house duties and general practice administration
- Working closely with clinicians and the wider team to deliver excellent patient care
