We are looking to recruit a motivated Early Years Room leader, to job share in our toddler room.

* You must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
* Be able to adapt quickly to new situations - one minute a child might want you to be a captain of a priate ship then next a horse at the farm!!
* The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
* You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required.
* Possessing the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the utmost importance.
* You must have the ability to read a ten page story book, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page.
* You must be prepared to have fun and make the day of the children in your care special. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in daily.
* Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young babies, children and thier families.
There is simply no other job quite like this one.
Applicants must:
· Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development (or equivalent)
· Have a sound knowledge of EYFS and welfare requirements and able to implement this into children's observations and planning. Have the ability to ensure other room staff are supported to do this.
· Be hardworking, friendly and committed to supporting children to reach their full potential
We are looking for applicants who have relevant experience working with children aged 0-3 years, and preferably some type of lead experience.
Key duties will include:
· The care and supervision of babies and young children;
· Provide stimulating activities for children and babies
· Ensure children's health and safety;
· Work both as part of a team and on own initiative; leading good practice for other staff members
· Be a strong communicator;
· Develop relationships with children, parents and carers;
· Complete all documentation as necessary;
· Carry out key worker duties; following EYFS curriculum and following settings planning procedures so all children's development is fully supported and enabling early identification where needed. Ensuring assesments are completed when due.
· Maintain an exciting environment for young children and babies, encouraging them to learn through the world around them
