Landmark public house in Leeds city centre is seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as Chef de Partie.
Whitelock's is the oldest pub in the city, a Grade II* Listed establishment with a strong reputation for service, a core menu emphasising fresh, scratch made food and regular specials.
The venue also incorporates our sister bar, The Turk's Head, a beautiful craft beer venue, serviced by the same kitchen.
As Chef de Partie you would be assistant to senior kitchen management, the Head & Sous Chef. The post includes responsibility for ensuring effective and efficient running of our kitchen, including taking responsibility for the following, in association with senior management.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Preparing, cooking, presenting and serving menu items to the standards set out by the senior chefs
- Completing routine cleaning tasks to the schedules
- Follow all in house Health & Safety and Food Hygiene policies
- Day-to-day stock management
- Carry out any reasonable task asked of you by senior management

This role would suit an ambitious professional, eager to develop their career within a forward thinking and creatively engaging kitchen. This is a chance to join an ever evolving and growing company. Those that successfully complete the probationary period will be able to take the lead on one of our monthly dinner clubs. This will allow you to write your own menu with whatever concept you want to showcase, you will be responsible for all aspects of the event for up to 30 covers including recipe writing, costing and running the event on the evening with as much guidance as needed from the senior chefs.
