Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance and support to optimise performance.
- Utilise our own ERP systems to monitor material inventory levels, production schedules, and order fulfilment.
- Implement SOP improvements aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with supply chain departments to ensure timely procurement of materials and smooth workflow.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure products meet specified standards.
- Oversee assembly processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas of the manufacturing process.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to production activities, quality assurance, and process modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, and supply chain management principles.
- Demonstrable expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes.
- Experience in implementing quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance within industrial settings.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving operational excellence.
