Jade Home Assembly is a leading specialist in the delivery and professional build of flat-pack and self-assembly furniture across the UK. We partner with some of the high street's most recognizable home retailers to deliver an exceptional, hassle-free in-home setup service.
Due to growing demand, we are recruiting two dedicated Fitters to join our Nottingham-based team. If you are handy with tools, enjoy driving, and pride yourself on delivering great customer service, we will provide all the training you need to become a certified professional installer.
The Role
This is a highly active, customer-facing role where you will work in pairs or independently to transport, unpack, and assemble furniture directly in customers' homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving & Transport: Safely operate a brand new company delivery van from our Nottingham hub to customer addresses on a scheduled daily route.
- In-Home Assembly: Unpack, construct, and position self-assembly furniture (including wardrobes, beds, desks) to pristine manufacturer standards inside customer properties.
- Customer Service: Act as a friendly, professional representative of both Jade Home Assembly and our retail partners, ensuring a polite, respectful, and tidy in-home service.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all assembled items are completely structurally sound, functional, and free from defects before handing them over to the customer.
- Workspace Housekeeping: Carefully remove and dispose of all packaging materials, leaving the customer’s home clean and tidy.
Requirements
- DIY Aptitude: While professional furniture assembly experience is a major bonus, it is not essential. A natural practical aptitude, confidence using hand/power tools, and a strong problem-solving mindset are highly valued.
- Driving Licence: A full UK Driving Licence is mandatory.
- Customer Skills: A warm, approachable personality with excellent communication skills, as you will be representing our brand directly inside the public's homes.
- Physical Stamina: Excellent physical fitness. This role involves lifting, loading, and carrying flat-pack boxes and furniture components daily.
- Reliability: Punctual, organized, and capable of working efficiently to a daily schedule.
