Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Small Offset Lithographic Printer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating lithographic printing equipment, ensuring high-quality print outputs, and maintaining the smooth running of the printing process. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. Duties
- Operate lithographic printing presses according to specified instructions and quality standards.
- Prepare printing plates, inks, and other materials required for production runs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimise downtime.
- Monitor print quality throughout the production process, making adjustments as necessary.
- Set up and calibrate machinery, including the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with finishing and packing when necessary.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members in warehouse operations, ensuring timely delivery of printed materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of printing presses.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for equipment setup and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively during production tasks.
- Prior experience of guilotine and finishing equipment is desirable.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks involving lifting or moving heavy objects.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to industrial printing equipment is beneficial but training will be provided.
- experience with cylinder / platen presses would be very advantageous
