Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. The ideal applicant will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with experience working with children in a nursery setting. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation duties if required.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood curricula.
- Provide high-quality childcare, ensuring the safety, well-being, and emotional security of all children in your care.
- Supervise children during play, meal times, nap times, and outdoor activities, fostering independence and social skills.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and curriculum delivery.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of hygiene, organisation, and safety within the nursery environment.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and sharing best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting is essential.
- Demonstrated management or leadership skills in supervising or mentoring junior staff members is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development theories.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience with childcare management systems or record keeping is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence preferred to assist with transportation duties related to nursery activities or outings.

Pay: £28,000.00-£36,412.11 per year
