We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to join our professional team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements and safety standards.
- Diagnose vehicle faults using specialised tools and equipment.
- Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment efficiently to carry out repairs.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks, including moving parts or components safely within the workshop.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used for each vehicle.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role.
- Valid MOT tester certification recognised by relevant authorities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications in automotive engineering or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
