Our Head Office is based on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford, employing over 57 colleagues across extrusion, printing, and slitting operations. In 2021, we expanded with the acquisition of our second manufacturing site at Baglan Energy Park, Port Talbot, where more than 56 employees operate multiple extrusion lines and conversion facilities.
The role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Baler Operator . This is a hands-on role responsible for operating baling equipment, handling recyclable materials, and supporting the smooth running of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position recycling bins ready to be fed into the baler.
- Operate the baler safely and efficiently to compact recyclable materials into bales.
- Maintain an adequate supply of baling wire and shrink wrap to ensure continuous operation.
- Stack completed bales onto pallets in line with warehouse procedures.
- Operate a forklift truck to load, unload, and transport pallets and finished bales safely.
- Position and store finished bales in designated warehouse locations following company safety protocols.
- Move inventory as required to support warehouse and logistics operations.
- Carry out general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and report any equipment faults or hazards promptly.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding role.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
- Previous experience operating a baler or other material handling equipment.
