Job Summary
Langage Farm are currently looking for a Qualified Electrical Engineer. This role is based at our family-run creamery near Plymouth and offers the opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated team. The role averages 40 hours per week, working 8-hour shifts from 07:00am to 3:00pm.
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding and improving a wide range of FMCG machines and Electrical distribution equipment. Essential Requirements
· Time served in a recognized apprenticeship Electrical NVQ/ONC.
· 18th Addition / AM2
· Naturally enthusiastic and able to lead by example.
· Professional and proactive work ethic.
· Excellent problem solving and analysis.
· Good standard of written and oral communication in English.
· Experience working with CMMS software.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and continual improvements.
· Knowledge of Control of work procedures including RAMS, permits to work and LOTO.
Responsibilities
· Ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best standard.
· Attend breakdowns on site ensuring there is always a rapid response, and that the plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised.
· Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with all company procedures and industry best practices.
· Work with and install single phase/three phase electrical circuits.
· Work with Power distribution equipment
· Carry out repairs and maintenance to onsite electrical control panels.
· Actively promote safe working practices.
· Effective communication - keeping management and relevant parties aware, seeking advice/assistance when required.
· Any other duties as maybe required commensurate with the post and the skill of the post holder.
Upon completion of the interview, candidates will be required to undertake a short trade test.
Schedule: Average 40 hours a week excluding 30 minutes a day for lunch. Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required.
