About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and proactive Padel Leisure Assistant to help deliver an exceptional experience for every customer who visits our club. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be the face of the club, ensuring our members and visitors receive excellent customer service while helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
Whether you're welcoming players, serving refreshments, preparing courts, running social events or assisting with retail sales, you'll play a key role in creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Welcome members and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Check customers in and assist with court bookings.
- Answer telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally.
- Promote memberships, coaching programmes, events and tournaments.
Club Operations
- Open and close the facility following company procedures.
- Prepare courts and communal areas before play.
- Ensure courts, reception, changing rooms and café remain clean, tidy and presentable throughout the day.
- Carry out routine facility inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with health and safety procedures.
Retail
- Process payments through the EPOS system.
- Hire rackets, balls and other retail products.
- Restock merchandise and monitor stock levels.
Events & Community
- Assist with social events, tournaments and club activities.
- Help create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for players of all abilities.
- Support coaching sessions where required.
- Encourage repeat visits and help build the club community.
Administration
- Manage bookings using the club management system.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Maintain accurate records where required.
- Assist with social media content, photography and promotion where appropriate.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, energetic and friendly personality.
- Enjoys working with people and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Is reliable, organised and takes pride in their work.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Is flexible and available to work evenings and weekends.
- Has an interest in sport, fitness or padel (desirable but not essential).
- Has previous experience in hospitality, leisure, retail or customer service (preferred but not essential).
