Overview
We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Multi Skilled Operative to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship across multiple trades, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing works with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform roofing repairs and installations, ensuring waterproofing and durability standards are met.
- Undertake construction painting, preparing surfaces and applying finishes to meet client specifications.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing with accuracy.
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication tasks requiring metal joining or repairs.
- Handle electrical installations or maintenance tasks where qualified or assist licensed electricians under supervision.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively across various trades to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Fabricate bespoke components or structures as required for specific projects or client needs.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met within deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication.
- Demonstrable ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience working on diverse construction or maintenance projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the construction industry.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different roles within a project environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in one or more trades is advantageous but not essential if sufficient practical experience is demonstrated.
