We are seeking a dedicated Labourer to support various construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of physical tasks, including gardening, horticulture, and general site upkeep. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of tools and machinery, contributing to the successful completion of diverse projects. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn new skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticultural tasks to ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators under supervision
- Supporting construction activities including site preparation, material movement, and basic assembly tasks
- Maintaining irrigation systems and ensuring their proper functioning across different sites
- Conducting routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting with general site clearance, debris removal, and organisation of materials
- Supporting team members with various labour-intensive duties to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with power tools and construction equipment is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools such as spades, rakes, hammers, and saws
- Experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic site maintenance procedures is beneficial
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods are essential
- Previous construction experience or working within a similar labouring role is preferred but not required
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and the ability to work safely in a team environment
Pay: £12.72-£15.00 per hour
