Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable Front of House Wait Staff to join our team in a busy pub serving classic Italian cuisine @ The Swan Inn. You will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional dining experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team, ensure high standards of food safety and hospitality, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or barista roles is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their visit.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, ingredients, and allergens to confidently advise guests.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally and courteously.
- Prepare and maintain dining areas, ensuring tables are clean, set, and ready for service.
- Process bills and payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and preparing the restaurant for service.
- Promote menu specials, desserts, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and maximise sales.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in hospitality, waiting, or customer service is essential
