Supported by the Studio and guided by project directors, each project team takes ownership of their project. We believe that clear leadership, teamwork, responsibility and sound decision-making are fundamental to a positive project culture and allow each team member to do their best work.
Currently, we are looking for Architectural Assistants and Architects, in both supporting and leading roles, who are particularly skilled and experienced in the early design stages of competitive pitches and direct commissions — where establishing a strong idea and position early allow the whole process to run more smoothly.
Role
Within the collaborative setting of the project team, successful candidates will synthesise brief requirements, priorities and contextual issues — building not towards conclusions, but an emerging sense of what the project can be. The work is varied, so you should be flexible, adaptable, and eager to take on diverse challenges.
Seeking to establish the design priorities, direction and strategy of a project, you will be responsible for:
—Carrying out investigative research studies;
—Testing conceptual ideas through sketching and use of physical models;
—Developing visual identity through drawings and illustrations.
—Part 2 qualified (we are flexible on post-qualification experience)
—A positive attitude, good work ethos and strong collaborative skills;
—A portfolio demonstrating strong critical thinking, design process and representation skills;
—Proficiency in physical model-making and sketching to explore ideas;
—Skilled in digital tools including Rhino, Enscape and Photoshop.
