About Boyce Group
Boyce Group is a Bristol-based property company operating across commercial, residential and serviced accommodation. We are rapidly expanding our portfolio, which spans a diverse range of asset types including retail, office, industrial, student accommodation, serviced accommodation and co-living space — and are now expanding further into purpose-built hotels.
Our largest asset is a shopping centre with over 50 tenants, and across the wider portfolio we manage more than 100 residential tenancies and over 100 commercial tenancies along the M4 corridor. Once a property is let, we manage it in-house to a high standard through our own vertically integrated network, covering everything from marketing and leasing through to day-to-day management, maintenance and cleaning.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated property professional to join the team as we continue to grow our portfolio. You will need strong commercial awareness and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The role can be shaped around your particular area of expertise — whether that leans more towards lettings and transactions, property management, or a blend of both — and may be adjusted as you develop within the business.
This is a fast-paced office where people take real ownership of their work. We're looking for someone sharp who can think on their feet, use good judgement and get on with the job without needing close supervision. As the company continues to invest and build, there is genuine room to grow within the business for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Advertising and marketing available space across the portfolio, including shops, offices, industrial units, student accommodation, serviced accommodation and co-living spaces.
- Conducting viewings with prospective tenants.
- Drafting heads of terms and completing leases.
- Carrying out rent reviews.
- Handling dilapidation claims and rental disputes.
- Managing properties post-let to a high standard, including oversight of cleaning and maintenance teams.
- Building and maintaining pragmatic, working relationships with a wide range of tenants, from small local businesses to larger occupiers.
- Line managing other members of the team as the portfolio and business continue to grow.
About You
- Proven experience in a property role — lettings, leasing, property management or a related discipline.
- Experience managing or supervising staff — you will be responsible for other members of the team, so people management experience is essential.
- Commercially aware, with sound judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing a varied and demanding workload.
- Confident dealing directly with tenants, contractors and colleagues across the business.
- Sharp, switched-on and able to take ownership — this is a fast-paced role and not one for someone who needs constant hand-holding.
- Experience with serviced accommodation is an advantage, though weekend availability is required for this side of the portfolio.
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as the role covers sites across Bristol and the wider M4 corridor, with regular travel between our Bristol and Newport offices.
- Strong IT skills — confident with Microsoft Office and Google Drive, comfortable using task management apps, and excellent inbox management, given the pace and volume of the role.
Team & Culture
- A relaxed, informal team who get on well together, with regular staff socials.
- That said, everyone understands the work needs to get done, whatever the time of day — it's a laid-back culture, not a laid-back attitude to the job.
- Permanent, full-time position, subject to a standard probationary period.
- Support toward relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ARLA Propertymark, IRPM or RICS) where these align with your area of the role.
