Pinehirst is a growing community-based domiciliary care service supporting older people to remain living safely, independently and comfortably in their own homes.
We are looking for Domiciliary Care Workers to join our friendly and dedicated team across the L26 area and surrounding communities.
This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the people you support, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
About the Role
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support to older people in their own homes.
The people we support may have a range of needs, including:
- Dementia and memory-related conditions
- Mental health needs
- Physical disabilities
- Mobility difficulties
- Personal care needs
- Support with daily living
- Social and emotional support
- Other age-related needs
Your role will be to provide support in a respectful and dignified way, always promoting choice, independence and wellbeing.
Your Responsibilities
Depending on the individual's needs, your duties may include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily routines

- Recognising and reporting any changes in a person's health or wellbeing
- Following individual care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Maintaining accurate and confidential care records
- Working respectfully with families, professionals and other members of the care team
What We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need previous experience in care. What matters most to us is your attitude, compassion and willingness to learn.
We are looking for people who are:
- Caring, kind and compassionate
- Patient and understanding
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Respectful of people's dignity and choices
- Good communicators
- Positive and approachable
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Committed to providing high-quality care
- Willing to learn and develop their skills
Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, dementia care, mental health support or another health and social care setting is an advantage, but full training and support will be provided.
What Pinehirst Offers You
We believe that caring for our staff is just as important as caring for the people we support.
In return for your commitment, we offer:
£13.00 per hour
Paid travel time between care visits
Mileage paid for work-related travel
- Full induction and training
- Ongoing training and development
- Regular support and supervision

- Opportunities to develop your career in care
- A rewarding role where you can see the difference you make every day

Why Join Pinehirst?
At Pinehirst, we don't believe domiciliary care should simply be about completing a list of tasks.

Whether you're an experienced care professional or you're considering starting a career in care, we'd love to hear from you.
