Duties
- Greet customers warmly and offer knowledgeable assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store, including cleaning, tidying shelves, and organizing displays
- Operate store equipment responsibly, including cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, unpacking deliveries, and conducting stock counts
- Drive store vehicle for deliveries or stock transfers as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and guiding shoppers through their selections
- Support janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waste disposal, and ensuring the store environment is safe and inviting
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely; driving experience is highly valued
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred to uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist customers and collaborate with team members
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform cleaning duties efficiently
- Basic familiarity with store equipment such as cash registers or POS systems is advantageous
- A proactive attitude with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
