Night Care Assistant – Immediate Start pending dbs and referencing (Fixed Term with Ongoing Opportunity)
We’re currently looking for a caring and reliable Night Care Assistant to join our team as soon as possible to help cover a valued staff member who is currently off unwell. This is initially a fixed-term position; however, there may be an opportunity for a permanent nights or day role for the right person once the cover period ends.
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide high-quality overnight care and support to residents within our service. During night shifts, you’ll play a key role in ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported, while maintaining a calm and reassuring environment throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight support and reassurance to residents
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and repositioning where required
- Carry out regular welfare checks and respond promptly to call bells
- Administer medication where trained and maintain accurate records
- Support residents who may be awake during the night with compassion and patience
- Maintain a safe, clean, and calm environment throughout the shift
- Complete clear and accurate documentation using digital care systems
- Communicate effectively with day staff during handovers to ensure continuity of care
- Follow all health and safety and safeguarding procedures
About You
- Kind, patient, and genuinely interested in supporting others
- Comfortable working night shifts and able to remain calm and attentive
- Previous care experience is helpful but not essential — full training will be provided
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail
- Confident using IT systems for care documentation
- Good spoken and written English

Pay: £12.75-£13.80 per hour
