Senior Preparation Manager – Oakdene Collection
This Isn’t Just Another Management Role
Oakdene Collection is one of the UK’s leading multi-award-winning independent prestige car specialists. As we move into our brand-new, state-of-the-art showroom facility, our advertised stock profile is set to increase from 150-175 vehicles to more than 300 vehicles.
This is an exciting period of growth for our business, and we’re looking for an exceptional individual to lead our preparation department into the next phase of its journey.
We’re not looking for a manager who simply keeps the wheels turning.
We’re looking for a leader.
Someone who can take ownership, build systems, develop people, raise standards and create a preparation department that sets the benchmark within the prestige automotive industry.
The Role
As Senior Preparation Manager, you will take complete ownership of our preparation centre.
You will be responsible for every stage of the preparation process, ensuring every vehicle meets the exceptional standards that Oakdene Collection has become renowned for.
This is a hands-on leadership position that requires someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up while also having the vision and ability to build and develop an elite team around them.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking full ownership of the preparation centre
- Checking in all vehicles entering the business
- Inspecting paintwork, interiors, wheels, switches, buttons and overall vehicle condition
- Managing and overseeing the complete vehicle preparation process

- Working closely with the buyers, sales team, workshop manager and sales preparation manager
- Building, developing and leading a high-performing team
- Taking responsibility for the future expansion and management of our new body shop
- Ensuring every vehicle leaves the preparation centre in exceptional condition
Quality Control Is Non-Negotiable
One of the most important aspects of this role will be owning the quality control process from start to finish.
As a business, we are implementing processes that ensure no vehicle leaves the preparation centre without passing through a structured and accountable quality control system.
Every detail matters.
Paint.
Interior.
Bodywork.
Wheels.
Switches.
Buttons.
Presentation.
Nothing can be overlooked.
No stone can be left unturned.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every vehicle leaving the preparation centre reflects exactly what we expect as a business and delivers the premium standard our customers associate with the Oakdene Collection brand.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply complete tasks.
We’re looking for someone who builds departments.
Someone who naturally leads people.
Someone who can identify weaknesses, solve problems and surround themselves with exceptional people.
We want someone who can create a culture of accountability, pride and attention to detail while building an elite team capable of supporting the next stage of our growth.
This role will suit someone who wants more than just a job.
It’s a genuine opportunity for someone to take their own leadership, career and personal development to the next level while playing a key role in shaping the future of an award-winning business.
