Part-Time HR Administrator

Beale Wildlife Park is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated HR Administrator to join our team and support the day-to-day delivery of our Human Resources function.
Working as part of our friendly, dedicated, team, you will provide essential HR support across the organisation, helping to ensure our employees and volunteers receive a professional, welcoming and supportive experience from recruitment onwards.
This is a part time position working approximately 16 hrs per week.
We are open to different working patterns, although ideally the 16 hours would be spread across four days.
Salary: £32,000 FTE

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support across all areas of the employee and volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Support payroll administration by maintaining accurate employee records and processing contractual changes.
- Monitor annual leave, sickness absence and other employee records.
- Assist with organising induction programmes and mandatory training.
- Support HR projects and initiatives that promote employee engagement and wellbeing.
- Respond to routine HR queries from managers and employees.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are administered consistently and professionally.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous HR administration experience (2 years)
- Experience using HR or payroll systems.
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, flexible approach.
Desirable
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards it.
- Experience working within the charity or visitor attraction sectors.
