Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver products to various locations according to scheduled routes
- Load and unload items with care, often involving heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse settings
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation of all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transit to ensure safe delivery practices
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to company policies on vehicle upkeep and safety
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Minimum age 30 due to vehicle insurance requirements
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Familiarity with route planning, GPS navigation, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks
