We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join a thriving and well-resourced Automotive department in Cambridge. The Role
As a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and practical learning experiences across a range of automotive programmes. You will support students in developing the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required for successful careers within the motor vehicle industry.
Working within modern workshop facilities, you will help inspire learners to achieve their full potential while contributing to the continued success and development of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality teaching and practical training across Motor Vehicle programmes at Levels 1–3
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons that reflect current industry standards and practices
· Assess student work and monitor learner progress
· Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their goals
· Support students' academic, personal, and professional development
· Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
· Maintain a safe, professional, and productive workshop environment
· Promote high standards of attendance, behaviour, and achievement
What We're Looking For
Essential
· Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a Motor Vehicle or Automotive-related discipline
· GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
· Recent and substantial industry experience within Light Motor Vehicles
· Strong technical knowledge and practical skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· A passion for developing and supporting learners
Desirable
· Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or coaching experience
· A recognised teaching qualification
· Experience within a Further Education or training environment
