With over 200 vehicles in stock and a high-volume workshop operation, we are looking for an organised and proactive Parts Specialist to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive parts professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being a key part of the vehicle preparation and aftersales process.
The Role
As a Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, managing and controlling parts required for vehicle preparation, service work, repairs and warranty claims. You will work closely with our workshop, service and purchasing teams to ensure vehicles are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and order vehicle parts, components and accessories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Ensure parts are ordered accurately and cost-effectively.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain efficient inventory control.
- Process goods received and ensure stock records are updated.
- Allocate parts to workshop jobs and vehicle preparation schedules.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs whilst maintaining quality.
- Process returns, warranty claims and supplier credits.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support workshop productivity by ensuring technicians have the correct parts available when required.
- Assist in improving parts processes and stock management systems.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in an automotive parts role.
- Strong knowledge of motor vehicle components and systems.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using parts catalogues and ordering systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience within a dealership, independent garage or motor factor.
- Familiarity with vehicle preparation operations.
- Knowledge of warranty and returns processes.
- Experience using stock control and inventory management systems.
