We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to while providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as required.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and ensure the safety of assets.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of all individuals on site.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during shifts.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification is desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
