Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Insurance Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join our expanding team. About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding position where you will manage insurance reinstatement projects from initial site inspection through to completion. Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors, and our internal teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong commercial awareness, and outstanding communication skills, recognising that our customers are often experiencing difficult circumstances following property damage.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed site surveys for domestic and commercial insurance claims.
- Prepare comprehensive schedules of work, specifications, scopes, and cost estimates.
- Manage multiple insurance reinstatement projects from instruction through to completion.
- Liaise professionally with insurers, loss adjusters, clients, policyholders, contractors, and suppliers.
- Plan and programme works to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor quality, workmanship, compliance, and project progress throughout each stage.
- Resolve technical queries and provide practical solutions to site challenges.
- Ensure all projects comply with current Building Regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry best practice.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate project records.
- Support continuous improvement across project delivery and customer satisfaction.

- An experienced Insurance Surveyor, Contracts Manager, or Project Manager within the insurance reinstatement or construction industry.

Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in insurance reinstatement, construction surveying, or contracts management.
- Strong knowledge of domestic building construction and repair techniques.
- Excellent understanding of insurance repair processes.
- Experience preparing schedules of work and managing projects.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Construction or Building Studies.
- Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project.
- Previous experience working with insurers, loss adjusters, or claims management companies.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and current Health & Safety legislation.
- SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, or other relevant industry qualifications.
- Experience managing both domestic and commercial reinstatement projects.
