Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents within our care home. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Follow individualised care plans to deliver tailored support
- Monitor and record health conditions, behaviours, and any changes in wellbeing
- Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems and care plan software
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Support the organisation of activities that promote wellbeing and social engagement
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Good command of English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication with colleagues and clients
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with residents or patients and their families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
